In the Shadow of the Steel City

Perhaps it's been a while since I heard from many of you or many of you have heard from me, but I am still alive and in good health.

As for life, I am now located in Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh. I am staying with my parents until school starts. I have been accepted to the University ofPittsburgh, and even though I have yet to recieve my financial aid package or veterans benefits, I am hoping to sign up for classes after Thanksgiving, and start school on January 5th.

And the job hunt is underway. I would like to work in this market, but it is pretty competitive here in Pittsburgh, so I may not be able to stay in the business, and just find a part time job to help me through school.

In the past several months I have been busy visiting. I spent almost two weeks in Japan and Thailand visiting friends, and taking a much needed vacation. It was wonderful to see that all of the familiar faces in those countries haven't changed. It seems I am the only victim of time.

And my good friend Matthew Wrobel dropped by Pittsburgh for an extended weekend to hang out with the Kanester. It was just like old times. We haven't seen each other in three years, but it seemed like three days after getting caught up.

I hope that this message finds you all well and in good spirits. I hope that you would take the time to write back.

Until then, I remain....

Faithfully Yours,
