Kane Farabaugh is an Emmy® award-winning multi media journalist, documentary filmmaker, writer, and digital content provider. Farabaugh serves as the Midwest Bureau Chief for Voice of America. Over a career that spans three decades, he has reported from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and has covered a wide range of news events from riots in Ferguson, Missouri to U.S. Presidential elections to the Olympics. He has also worked as a military broadcast journalist in Korea and Japan, on-air as a TV reporter in Rockford, Illinois; Tampa, Florida; Bakersfield, California; Charleston, West Virginia; and Syracuse, New York, and as Director of Special Projects for the American Forces Network Europe in Germany, managing long-form television products.
