He has also worked as a military broadcast journalist in Korea and Japan, on-air as a TV reporter in Rockford, Illinois; Tampa, Florida; Bakersfield, California; Charleston, West Virginia; and Syracuse, New York, and as Director of Special Projects for the American Forces Network Europe in Germany, managing long-form television products.
