Voice of America won first prize in multiple categories in this year’s Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association contest. CAPBA announced the awards at its annual ceremony in Ocean City, Md., on June 1, 2024. VOA Midwest correspondent Kane Farabaugh won Best in Show-Television, designated in the All Divisions category, for “Inside Story: A Shadow Over Dallas” in the Best Producer category. Issued in November 2023, the program coincided with the 60th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas on November 22, 1963. The VOA News Center’s Michael Lipin and Steve Miller won first place for Best Podcast-Audio, also in the All Divisions category, for "Flashpoint Iran: Why Iran's Proxies Seek to 'Drag Out' Low-Level Conflict with Israel."
